Sr. System Administrator

At our site in Ede we have a job opening for a sr.System Administrator who is passionate about managing, maintaining, and optimizing ICT systems and infrastructure. Eurotrol is an organisation of 60 employees that develops, produces and distributes quality controls for medical instruments used around the world. Our customers are hospital laboratories, international diagnostics companies, and external quality control organizations.

Responsibilities

• Proactively ensure that all manufacturing, utility and distribution ICT systems of the sites in Ede (NL) and Elizabethtown in Kentucky (USA) are in good working condition.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of external ICT support, including:
  • System Monitoring: Ongoing surveillance of servers and office devices
  • Patch Management: Regular updates and maintenance of servers and office clients
  • Infrastructure Maintenance: Management of LAN, WAN, and VPN networks
  • Network Administration: Installation, configuration, maintenance, and upgrades of servers, network hardware, PCs, displays, and printers.
  • Help Desk Services: Managing user support requests and resolving ICT issues effectively.
  • Data Backup: Regular execution of server backups and verification of backup integrity.
• Act as the initial point of contact for ICT issues, triage and escalate cases to third-party support
• Oversee backup operations for all systems and implement disaster recovery plans
• Manage and maintain OT systems, including manufacturing systems and peripheral devices.
• Design, implement and manage cybersecurity measures to safeguard data and infrastructure
• Provide technical support and organize IT training sessions across the organization.
• Ensure that IT systems comply with Eurotrol QMS and GDPR.
• Reports to the Engineering & Maintenance Manager

Qualifications

• At least 2 to 5 years of experience as an ICT system administrator
• Analytical mind, good at solving problems
• Result focused and “can-do” mentality
• Good organisational, planning, and documentation skills
• Proficient in English
• At least an HBO or bachelor’s degree in ICT
